You know, Microsoft kept this one quiet, but it seems that XP Service Pack 3 is being quietly released on the software giant's Web site from Tuesday onwards, with an automatic update following on some time during a May/June timeframe.
Newswire reports quote Chris Keroack, Microsoft's release manager for XP SP3 writes, as saying that SP3 packs are already available to OEM and retail channel customers, and should be seen in PC packages within the next few weeks.
Sounds interesting. Myself, I shan't be in too much of a hurry to install SP3, despite the report speed advantages, as I'm sure there will be a few bugs that need to be ironed out.
This is what Microsoft is waiting on the automatic update release. You have been warned...
