Poor results a few years ago led Symbian to lay off staff, how things change.
Symbian’s latest results show an increased performance over 2007 in most areas.
There are now over 150 Symbian handsets being shipped, representing 18.5 million units for the quarter, up over 16%.
Even more encouraging, over 9200 applications are available, plus 70 new models under development, a tech fest for the future.
With over 206 million handsets having been shipped, Symbian royalty demands have fallen and will decline further as they become more entrenched into the mass market when inexpensive GPS enabled mobiles hit the shops.
