This year’s annual FIRST conference is set in Vancouver, Canada. As cities go, many people have told me that it is in the top five cities that people would like to emigrate to.
With the many rooftop gardens and some very stylish architecture, you can see that a lot of effort has gone into making Vancouver attractive.
Walking the streets, I was struck by how multicultural Vancouver actually is, which synergises nicely with the rich multicultural membership of FIRST itself.
Already I’ve spoken with people from Japan, Norway, Brazil, Korea, Germany, Latvia, Estonia and China. It just goes to show that security really has no borders which fits in well with this years theme:-
Crossing Border/Towards the Globalization of Security.
