This measn that you could get a 17-inch Advent laptop for only £29.99; PC World has not announced whether these discounts would also be valid for its refurbished laptop range.
Their new in-store only scheme also sees the introduction of multiplay packages (Landline, Broadband and TV) from the likes of BT, Virgin and Sky in a bid to boost their revenues and fend of competition from Carphone Warehouse.
The deals, which are available only at PC World stores, will also standalone mobile broadband packages being sold for as little a £10 per month, provided by Vodafone, T-Mobile and 3.
DSG international, the parent company of PC World, has been recently battered after it suffered a calamitous quarter after it reported a pre-tax loss of £193 million a few days ago, which caused its shares to tumble by almost five percent.
This contrasted sharply with Carphone Warehouse's current situation; shareholders of the retailing giant have just given their green light to the purchase of half of their company by American Best Buy for £1.1 billion.
