Now here's an interesting service in the US that involves a company looking up a mobile users' voicemail number automatically and piping calls straight to voicemail, and not to the mobile, even if it's switched on.
The unusual service is called SlyDial, for obvious reasons, and has been trialled (it says here) by 200,000 mobile users already this summer.
The service is billed as being perfect for dumping a boyfriend or girlfriend, or for avoiding having to explain to the wife why you lost a stack of readies on the tables in Las Vegas.
But hey, it's a lot better than getting dumped by text message.
