According to an anonymous source from the mobile phone blog JustAMP, Nokia is all set to roll out its first ever touch screen mobile handset 5800 ‘Tube’, primarily targeted at mid-ranged users, on 08th of October this year.
Earlier, the same blog has also speculated about the integration of iPlayer services with Nokia’s yet to be launched, N96 and the prediction has finally turned out to be real; thus, the prediction about ‘Tube’ also can be believed to some extent.
However, we already had a glimpse of the device and its functioning in the movie ‘The Dark Knight’ and incessant rumours about the device is spilling over the blogosphere since then.
The blog reads as, “Moving on to the highly anticipated 5800 ‘Tube’ - Nokia’s touch screen handset running S60 5th edition is expected to hit stores on the 8th October.”
There are however some speculation that the eagerly anticipated device may not be a true smartphone and may even be without the Symbian operating system.
Now, the entire industry is eyeing at the Finnish mobile handset giant, for the confirmation of the news.
