In a move that is expected to cause discomfort amongst a large section of its users, Facebook is all set to make it compulsory for all users to shift to its new design which it had launched a few weeks back.
Initially Facebook had allowed it users the option to stay with the old design however it now has enforced the new design on all its users citing issues with maintaining both versions.
The new outlook will enable smoother navigation along with providing a range of other features including customised tabs, superior feed filters to enable better sharing of stories and pictures.
The new design also incorporates major advancement in integrating third party application with Facebook and is expected to benefit those applications which are focused on quality.
Though the new design has sparked off protests, Facebook executives like Product Manager Mark Slee are confident about the initiative and reasoned the change by saying “We wanted to make the site clean and simple by reducing clutter and we wanted to give you more control over your profile”
