HTC’s new Pocket PC will integrate the following key features, for a Windows Mobile experience like no other. The HTC Touch HD will measure in at 115 x 62.8 x 12 mm (4.5 x 2.4 x .5 in), and weigh 146.4 grams/5.164 oz with battery.
Connectivity features of the HD will include the following: Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHzWCDMA / HSDPA: 900/2100MHz (For Europea networks). The Touch HD will feature HTC’s TouchFLO 3D interface running on top of Windows Mobile® 6.1 Professional.
Here is where things get really interesting! The HD will sport a monster display at 3.8 inches wide with WVGA 480 x 800 resolution. Wow, talk about a high definition Pocket PC!
You’ll need that screen to view the high res. pictures you snap with the 5.0 megapixel auto focus camera. The HD will also include a second front-facing VGA camera.
With regards to internal memory, the Touch HD will feature 512 MB flash ROM, and 288 MB user accessible RAM. For added storage space, the HD will feature a microSD card slot that is of course SDHC compatible for ups to 8GB of all your important music and files.
Additional connectivity options wrapped up in this great looking device include WLAN 802.11b/g, Bluetooth®: 2.0 with EDR and GPS/AGPS for navigation purposes.
A standard 3.5mm headphone jack has also been designed-in, allowing consumers to use high-performance headphones with the device for the best possible sound quality. HTC’s standard mini USB interface is built in for charging the 1350mAh battery.
