Back in September, the other Gadget Magazine, Stuff, chose the Asus EEE PC as its top gadget of 2008, beating the likes of the iPhone and Nintendo's Wii gaming console.

54,000 readers of Gadget magazine T3 chose to award the "toy of the year" laurels to Activision's Guitar Hero game while The Tomtom Go 930 was named Gadget You Can't Live Without - interestingly, the awards were sponsored by Tomtom's archrival, Garmin.

The iPhone snatched another award for Apple in the Commuter Gadget iPhone category with the Macbook Air winning in the Gadget Candy category.

Other winners include (or PCworld or Currys for that effect) as top retailer of 2008 while the BBC iPlayer was chosen as the Best new Media.
