Asus To Introduce Touchscreen EEE PC in 2009 Plus Cheaper EEE Laptops

Reports indicate that Asus is all set to launch a touch enabled Eee PC sometime next year.

According to DigiTimes, rumours regarding the upcoming launch of touchscreen based offering from Asus was confirmed by none other than Samson Hu; the General Manager at the Taiwanese consumer electronic major Asus.

However very little is known about the actual specification of the proposed system and one can only hope that Asus releases some details in near future.

In a related development Asus has also mentioned that it plans to launch a new model equipped with a dual core Intel processor; though it is unlikely to make an appearance anytime before next summer.

However that’s not all that you can look for from the Asus stable, as the company is planning to introduce a low cost Eee PC model which like to cost as low as GBP 180.
