LG Cookie Smartphone Gets Launched; Becomes UK's Cheapest Touchphone

LG has finally unleashed its KP500 touchscreen phone, dubbed as “Cookie”, for the UK market.

Touted as “an affordable touchscreen phone”, the sophisticated handset comes loaded with several key features to lure budget conscious customer.

Sporting a sleek 3-inch touchscreen interface, the new Cookie is 13.9mm thick with an interactive slide-out QWERTY keyboard and it includes an auto-rotating display to provide a better image viewing experience to its users.

Other notable features of the device include - a 3-megapixel camera, FM radio, motion-sensing games, calendar, clock, and other usual applications.

Though phones with stylus aren’t common these days, the new KP500 incorporates one to allow its users to explore the handset’s handwriting recognition feature; in addition, the Cookie also lets its users to place their favourite widgets on its home screen for a quick access.

The handset is all set to cruise in UK market next month in The Carphone Warehouse store, on an O2 pay-as-you-go (PAYG) basis, with a price tag around GBP159 that includes GBP10 as credit.
