We've rounded 10 contracts on the market, a mix of SIM only and SIM + Phone under £10. They even include an unlimited texter tariff as well as one with a 5-megapixel camera.
O2 has a £10 Pay Monthly SIM only Simplicity tariff that is only available online and gives you 150 UK minutes and 300 UK texts each month although it is only available until the 31st of December 2008. O2 also provides with free voicemail and free itemised billing plus you can browse the net for only £1 per day. For an additional £7.34, you can get 8mbps ADSL "Standard" broadband which will give you an additional 100 web texts per month.
If you are a massive texter, then choose the Vodafone £10 contract which gives you 75 minutes and 500 texts with only 30 days notice if you need to leave them. They charge for voicemail though and you will be charged 40p per minute once you used your inclusive minutes.
Three has a £9 Promotional plan that gives you free IM, Skype, 300 minutes of 3-to-3 calls and free voicemail plus a Sony Ericsson K660i mobile phone that also comes with a 256MB memory card. The 18-month plan which launched yesterday will last till the end of December and is UK's cheapest.
Asda has a PAYG price plan that gives you some great flexibility. It costs only 8p per minute to talk to landlines or mobiles, 4p per text and 20p per MB of data to surf the net. This means that a £10 topup can go a long, long way. Calls to the Automated Helpline from your ASDA mobile are free and there's a minimum call charge 8p.
Carphone Warehouse has a great Texter £15 18-month contract courtesy of Three that comes with 75 minutes worth of talk and unlimited texts a month, all for only £9.99. You get one month free insurance and a Nokia 3120 that comes with FM Radio and is an updated version of the 3100.
Yet another great deal from Carphonewarehouse as they partnered with T-Mobile to offer a £25 U-Fix talk tariff for only £10 over 12 months. Users will get 150 minutes and 75 texts per month plus a free Samsung E250 mobile phone that packs a VGA camera phone, a music player and a video player.
If you're looking for a great phone with an under £10 contract. Go for this U-Fix £25 text tariff that offers you 500 texts a month and 30 minutes talk with a 12-month contract. Bundled in the pack is the Sony Ericsson K800i, a great phone with a 3.2-megapixel camera, music player and a superb screen.
Virgin Customers can get great SIM only tariffs from Virgin. The £10 per month give you 300 minutes and 300 texts, which is fantastic if you want to keep your phone and don't want to be tied to a lengthy contract. Non Virgin customers will get 200 minutes and 200 texts only.
Virgin users can get some great phones on the £10 value tariff (100 minutes + 100 texts) with models like the Samsung G600 Pink, the 5-megapixel LG KC550, the Sony Ericsson W302 (with 1GB memory card). Note that you will have to fill your details here first.
Newcomer Lycatel is a MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) that specialises in international calls. UK tariffs start at 10p per minute for mobile rates and 8p for landline rates. However, you can call the US and Europe for only 4p. So a £10 topup will give you a whopping 250 minutes. Note that UK SMS and international SMSes for 9p and 10p respectively.
