Pop Legend Sir Elton John has released an exclusive series of Swarovski crystal encrusted iPod nanos, whose sale will benefit the singer's own AIDS Charity EJAF.
Under the banner "Bling with Benefits", nine colours of iPod Nano will be available each with 250 colour coordinated crystals on both the 8GB and the 16GB versions with only 100 versions of each available (that's 1800 in all then).
The MP3 players will also come with Elton John's own signature laser engraved at the back of the devices and will be preloaded with the singer's 'Rocket Man: The Definitive Hits CD' album.
The 16GB version of the player comes at a whopping £449.99 while the 8GB version costs £399.99; EJAF, which was created back in n1993 by Sir Elton, will get 12.5 percent of the purchase price (ex VAT) to fund the charity's project.
It is not known whether Sir Elton John plans more partnership with Apple; a new iMac maybe or that flashy new Macbook Air with Swarovski crystals. Oh and by the way, assuming that ALL the players are sold, the total profits provided to EJAF will be slightly less than £81,500.
Fellow singer Bono first partnered with the Californian company back in 2006 when $10 from the sale of every special edition RED iPod Nano were donated to the Global Fund.

Dell and Microsoft are also part the product (RED) initiative which helps eliminate AIDS in Africa and each product sold under the red banner by Dell (like the Dell Product Red XPS M1330) gives $50 to The Global Fund. And unlike Sir John's initiative, most of the money doesn't go to the "bling bling" manufacturers. If you really want to buy an Apple iPod and save the world, then get the (Product) Red versions.
