Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Update Brings Much-needed Improvements

Nokia has finally released a software update for its popular and under-rated Nokia 5800 XpressMusic touchscreen model that should solve some of its most common woes.

The update, Nokia promises, will improve the touch screen's general performance, allowing for faster downloads, quicker searching via its inbuilt search app and improved email functionality.

Amongst the bunch of new features that the update will be bringing to the 5800 Xperssmusic includes the fact that the second camera will now allow photo capture albeit at a much lower resolution than the main one.

There's also a burst mode which is useful when you have to take fast-action photos. The built-in dictionary has also bee upgraded allowing the phone to read back words and supporting up to 38 languages.

Last but not least, the application update tool will automatically check for available updates for apps loaded on the touchscreen.

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic has brought a fresher look to Nokia's line up. You can find it on cheap mobile contracts starting from £20 per month with unlimited texts. With this new software update, the 5800 strengthens its position as the most potent iPhone competitor due to its fantastic price/value ratio. We can't wait for Nokia to introduce Comes with Music on the 5800, which will make the platform quasi-unbeatable.
