The sleek and sexy successor to the Samsung Tocco has landed in the UK as the Tocco Ultra becomes widely available on every major networks.
The slider phone, which comes in at 12.8mm - half an inch - has a 2.8-inch AMOLED (Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diodes) touchscreen display which promises deeper blacks and better contrast compared to the competition, a 8-megapixel camera with dual LED Flash and is compatible with HSDPA networks.
The 4x3 keypad slides underneath the huge screen which is capable of displaying a staggering 240x400 pixels. You will also be able to shoot videos with up to 30 frames a second and either upload them via the 3G network or use the provided video editing software to upload everything to an online video website like Youtube.
The phone comes with a tiny 80MB internal memory but can accommodate up to 16GB microSD cards. There's also a nifty assisted GPS feature which can be used with the onboard camera to geotag friends and features.
The phone is available on contracts as low as £20. Vodafone - through Phones 4U - for example provides this new phone for free with 200 anytime minutes and unlimited texts although the contract lasts for 24 months which brings the total price of the contract to £480.

The Tocco Ultra is the cheapest 8-megapixel camera currently available on a contract. The current recession means that there are great deals to be had as mobile phone networks slash their tariffs and start to think outside the box by providing 24-months contracts as well as unlimited texts.
