GIS '09 : Transforming Public Services

GIS’09 enables executives from across the public sector to share best practice on the collection, management and use of geospatial data and hear about the latest innovations from companies offering solutions to the public sector market.

Now in its fourth year, Headstar’s flagship GIS event coincides with the implementation of the INSPIRE Directive which provides a legislative framework that promotes best practice with respect to data sharing, both in relation to data standards and policy.

The discussion group programme is being designed to share best practice and discuss the challenges on issues such as: governance; compliance; coordination; data sharing policy; data management; data interoperability; licensing and charging; funding; together with skills development and marketing.

As well as roundtable discussion groups and workshops, there will be a programme of supplier presentations; together with a pre-arranged meetings service.

Return on investment and cost-cutting will also be a focus this year. Take a look today, and book your place:
