Apple's App store will house "Hottest Girls" its first adult application ever which introduces full frontal nudity and could prove to be a major revenue generator for the company.
More than 2200 pictures of naked ladies are accessible from the application which can be purchased for only £1.19; it is an updated version of an app that offered bikini and lingerie shots. It is the first time that an officially sanctioned application with full frontal nudity is accepted by App Store.
Apple OS 3.0 includes parental controls which allows parents to control the type of content accessed by their children should they have an iPhone or an iPod touch but relies on the user to state their age (like on any US-based adult website).
Adult content already exists on the competing Google Android mobile platform but adult firms are very cautious when it comes to over 18 content.
But the stance by the Cupertino-based company on the whole issue has switched to a more moderate one compared to last year when it told the Time magazine that it would ban 18+ content from official applications.
And already some organisations are criticising Apple's decision to allow "Hottest Girls" to become red hot. Speaking to Daily Mail, Miranda Suit, co-founder of the voluntary watchdog MediaMarch, said 'We are very concerned about the mainstreaming of pornography".

Our Comments
While many are saying that this is a pornographic application, we beg to differ. Although we haven't tested the application - as we don't have an iPhone - it seems more appropriate to call it an erotic application. It would certainly be ludicrous to ban this application when tens of thousands of other websites with significantly more smut exist around.
