£180 Acer Aspire One ZG5 8.9" Netbook with Windows XP

The Aspire one is great for getting things done: whether you're checking your mail, managing your online bank account or chatting with friends, Preinstalled with Windows XP Home Edition the Aspire One makes it easy to stay organised.

Ergonomics and reduced dimensions do not mean the view isn't spectacular: the Aspire one has an 8.9" CrystalBrite LED backlit display with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels. Integrated in the top of the screen is the unique Acer CrystalEye webcam for live video streaming, video chats and conferences.

This is a pretty standard notebook. It comes with an Intel Atom processor running at 1.6GHz, 512MB DDR memory, a 120GB hard disk drive, a 8.9-inch TFT screen and up to 3 hours worth of battery life. The ZG5 originally was on sale at £299.
