A syndicate of less than ten people, working at BT’s Royal House contact centre in Liverpool found out they’d hit the big time this morning. They arrived at work to news of a share in one of only two jackpot-winning Euromillions tickets.
Scooping £45 between them, a BT staff member told the Liverpool Daily Post the winners had been quickly whisked away by lottery company, Camelot.
Another worked said: "You can only imagine what it was like when it dawned on them. I’ve heard they just went mad screaming and shouting. Its been the talk of the building. No one can believe it. They are a very, very lucky bunch."
It’s unclear if they lucky winners are customer facing or support people. They probably won’t be either any more! Jealous, me?
