Xbox 360 All Set To Get Social Updates in The Coming Week

Microsoft Corp. has announced that it will be releasing the latest system update to its Xbox 360 for the community of all its Xbox Live members in the next week.

The next update, which is due for the 17th of November, would see the inclusion of the support for some of the popular social networking platforms, including Facebook and Twitter, as well as for the music streaming service Last FM.

Along with this, the new update will further bring Zune video integration to the company’s signature game console.

The Facebook integration will come through the social networking site’s Connect sign-in programme, and it will let the users to see their Xbox Live buddies, and friends added on their Facebook account.

Speaking about the same, the software maker said in a statement: “Using Facebook Connect, you can share your greatest moments in gaming by posting updates and screenshots from supported games directly to Facebook”.

In addition, the Zune-labelled service will dole out instant video streaming in high definition (HD) at 1080 pixels as well as 5.1 surround sound. Moreover, it will also let users to watch movies remotely with seven buddies by employing a virtual theatre setting.

It will further incorporate a Twitter application to allow users to sign in to the popular microblogging service via their consoles.
