Biostar has announces a new micro-ATX motherboard with full support for Intel's new 32nm Core i3 and Core i5 processors.
The TH55B HD offers full 1080p HDMI or DVI video as the name suggests and allows CPU integrated graphics to be tuned via BIOS.
The board also features a five-phase power designed built from mosfet components to keep the heat down to a minimum even when overclocking, and Biosostar's own power utility function which shuts off unused threads of the CPU when they are not being used. An LED display shows how much juice is being used at any given time.
A Game Boost facility is purported to give the CPU a bit of a jolt, improving standard clock speeds by up to 60 per cent.
Four DDR3 slots can cope with up to 16GB of RAM, there are six 3.0Gbps SATA ports and a single empty PCIe x16 slot. 5.2 audio and four USB 2.0 ports complete the picture.
No price is available as yet but Biostar promises it will be competitive.
