Sacre Bleu! First the Germans and now the French. Microsoft must be starting to the think the whole world is against it as, in another unprecedented move, an entire nation is again warned not to touch Internet Explorer with a very long baguette.
A BBC news report says that the French government has told its citizens to stay well away from Internet Explorer in all of its forms, despite repeated bleating from Redmond that IE8 is "the most secure browser on the market."
Microsoft says that it is only older versions that are vulnerable to malicious attacks but, since the details of how to carry out the hack have been posted all over the Internet, many authorities felt it's only a matter of time before the exploit is re-engineered to work with later versions of the browser.
