Microsoft to Launch Windows 8 in 2011?

A former Microsoft employee, Chris Green has leaked Microsoft’s roadmap for launching key software products over the period of 1 to 2 years, which include Windows 8 operating system, Windows Server 2012 and Microsoft Office 2012.

‘Microsoft Kitchen’, a blog dedicated to news related to Microsoft Corp., discovered the blogpost, which reported that Microsoft plans to launch MS Windows 8 for mass production from 1st July 2011.

Mr. Green also stated that the Redmond based company will start shipping Windows Server 2011 and Microsoft Office 2011 from July 2nd 2011.

However, Chris Green, declared on his blog that “The content of this site are my own personal opinions and are not intended to represent my employer’s view. These postings are provided “AS IS” with no warranties, and confer no rights.”

If the leaked report is to be believed, then the software giant is planning to release updates for its popular software at short intervals to maintain the market momentum that has been built-up by the success of Windows 7 operating system.

The company is known for making critical delays in releasing updates for its software, but this time around, it seems that MS is on the right track.
