App Store extends global reach

Apple's plans to take over the mobile application world are coming closer to fruition with the announcement that it has extended its reach into 12 new countries.

The addition of Armenia, Botswana, Bulgaria, Jordan, Kenya, Macedonia, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritius, Niger, Senegal, Tunisia, and Uganda brings the running total of territories able to download iPhone and iPod touch Apps to 90.

The announcement was made on the iPhone Developers blog and should see thousands of coders rushing to update existing Apps with Macedonian translations. Probably.
