Taiwanese manufacturer MSI is set to release a desktop all in one computer range called the Wind Top HD which will comprise of four members, the AE2420, AE2280, AP1920 and AE1920.
The first model is one with a 24-inch multi touch 120Hz LED screen which comes with a pair of 3D active shutter glasses. The second one has a smaller 22-inch screen and gets 5W speakers while the AE2420 one has 10W ones. Both have a screen resolution of 1920x1080 pixels
They will come with Intel's Core series processors (i3, i5 & i7) coupled with its Turbo Boost technology which is the closest thing novices will get to automated overclocking.
The two smaller models are 19-inch and 20-inch ones respectively. They are likely to be powered by Atom processors since MSI claims that they can slash the energy consumption of traditional desktop PCs by up to 90 percent.
In addition, no harmful substances were included during their manufacturing and even the packaging used is 80 percent recyclable.
Expect all the models to come with a wireless chiclet keyboard and mouse, a webcam, Windows 7 Home Premium OS and a media-centre compatible remote control plus the more expensive models shall get a Blu-ray player.
They will all be presented at the CEBIT event which will take place in Hanover, Germany from the 2nd of March.
It will be interesting to find out whether MSI has partnered with any content provider for the 3D content. Furthermore, the all in one sector is likely to become even more crowded as ARM-based nettops start to appear during the second half of this year.
