ASRock To Launch 890GX Extreme3 Motherboard At CEBIT 2010

The week before the start of CEBIT 2010 saw a number of Taiwanese manufacturers announcing the paper launch of motherboards based on AMD's brand new 890GX+SB850 combo.

Asrock for example has the ASRock 890GX Extreme3 part of the True 333 series which comes with solid capacitors, a blue on black colour scheme, a full ATX Layout and support for all major socket AM3 AMD CPUs.

On top of that, it can accommodate up to 32GB DDR3 memory spread over four DIMM slots, has enough space for 3 x PCIe 2.0 x16, 1 x PCIe 2.0 x1 and 3 x PCI slots.

The rest of the features is pretty standard and reads as follows, six SATA3 (SB850), two USB3 ports (NEC), an eSATA port, ATI's HD4290 DirectX 10.1 compatible graphics module, 7.1 channel audio via the VIA VT2020 sound module, support for ATI Quad CrossFireX, 3-Way CrossFireX, CrossFireX and Hybrid CrossFireX mode.

One can also expect the usual assortment of Asrock proprietary enhancements like the Smart Switch, octuner, IES, Instant Boot, Instant Flash, OC DNA, Good Night LED, Dr. Debug.
