Google's cloud-based Reader Play allows users to toy with its Reader news feeds just as you might, say, on a tablet device, not that any in particular springs to mind.
According to the Google Reader blog, Play is an experimental tool to browse through Google Reader and other on-line content. It includes a slide show mode, built- as ever - with third-party content, including photos and videos.
Google Reader engineer Garrett Wu, said clicking on the content will automatically redirect to the web site containing the content.
Play has enlarged viewing functions and designed to play videos and Flash - on demand.
It is not compulsory to sign in to use the service. But if users do log into their Google accounts, they may share items with people they may be daft enough to follow on Google Buzz.
