LG says it has flogged 15,000 3D TVs to satellie broadcaster Sky that will be installed in boozers all over the land in the coming weeks.
"The deal to supply the broadcaster with 15,000 3D TVs is the largest deal of its kind," LG said. "Sky plans to install the TVs in public venues across the UK in advance of plans to broadcast weekly Premier League matches in 3D beginning this spring."
Sky tried out the idea of 3D football in January, with a Premiership match between Arsenal and Manchester United that was shown in nine UK pubs.
Punters replace their beer googles with 3D versions to watch the fuzzy content.
Sky says its 3D service will be rolled out to those Sky+HD customers who don't own pubs later this year.
