According to an article on popular marketing and advertisement technology blog Media Post, Apple Inc., the maker of the much awaited iPad tablet device, is planning to roll out its very own mobile advertisement platform sometime next month.
Industry watchers believe that the new mobile advertisement platform by Apple will be primarily targeted at the iPad along with its highly popular iPhone smartphone, which has come to be known as the Jesus phone.
Citing people familiar with Steve Job's plan of action, the article on Media Post reported that “The new ad platform, which will be officially unveiled to Madison Avenue on 7 April, has been described as 'revolutionary' and 'our next big thing' by Apple chief Steve Jobs, according to executives familiar with the plan.”
It seems that Apple is finally using the mobile advertising technology it acquired from Quattro Wireless, which was purchased by the company on January 5th 2010 for $300 million. If the rumour of a new ad platform by Apple is true, then the launch of the platform will up the intense rivalry between Apple and Google, which, according to Steve Jobs, is trying hard to 'kill' the iPhone with the help of its Android mobile OS.
