Vodafone has announced the availability of the HTC Desire from the 13th of April 2010 as it starts taking orders from today and officially launches it on the 8th of April; pay monthly plans will start from as little as £30.
The HTC Desire will be the second of four Android smartphones to come next month with the HTC Legend, the Sony Ericsson X10 and the Google Nexus One reinforcing the Android team in Vodafone's stable.
The phone will come with 900 minutes, unlimited texts, 500MB of mobile internet and webmail. The plan includes 300 extra minutes exclusive to online customers (600 minutes for instore customers), all for only £30 per month.
The mobile phone operator also announced the release of Sony Ericsson X10 earlier this week for £35 per month with the same package.
The phone is already available on T-Mobile and will come to Orange on the 2nd of April 2010. O2, Virgin Media and Three Networks have also confirmed that they will be selling the superphone.
T-Mobile still has the cheapest overall cost for the handset at a cost of £404 over a two year contract albeit with only 100 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited internet.
The Deutsch-Telekom company also sells the HTC Desire on a two year contract via Buymobilephones.net for £25 a month over two years with a £50 cash back with 600 minutes, 500 texts and unlimited data.
