Nintendo Wii Fit Used As A Fitness Tool

Wii Fit, the popular exercising video game from Nintendo, designed for the Wii gaming console, has emerged an apt weight loss tool, as more and more people continue to use the video game in order to exercise in a fun, non-boring manner.

Researches have proven that Nintendo Wii Fit, which was released in the UK on April 25th 2008, offers an effective and fun whole body workout to users, who have confirmed that the game has helped them to lose weight despite their hectic schedules.

Commenting on the weight losing capabilities of the video game, Carol Weerdenburg, the director of fitness at the Ottawa Athletic Club said in a statement that “In our society we spend a lot of time looking at a screen. The easiest thing to do is to put on a pair of running shoes and go outside and walk.”

Interestingly, lots of Wii users mix Wii Fit exercises with walking to work and back, which actually speeds up the weight loss process.

The game, which had sold 22.56 million copies as of December 30, 2009, offers users a complete set of rejuvenating exercises including Yoga, Strength training, Aerobics and Balance games which include soccer heading, ski jump and tight rope walking.
