Intel ramping up Atom production

Intel is preparing to launch two new Atom processors for mobile devices according to industry sources.

Occasionally reliable moles at Digitimes have unearthed rumours of two new SKUs in Intel's low-draw netbook platform in the shape of the Atom N450 and N470, both of which will have dual cores and support DDR3 memory.

Intel is expected to make an official announcement about the forthcoming new chippery, as well as a dual-core upgrade to the N500 line-up, in June.
