Apple developer shindig will be iPad first

Apple has formally announced that its Worldwide Developer Conference will kick off on June 7th.

The event, which traditionally turn into a slightly nauseating love-in for the Mac Faithful, runs from June 7th to 11th at San Francisco's Moscone West conference centre.

The five-day codeapalooza is the first to include the iPad in its extensive list of self-congratulatory seminars and hands-on development sessions for App weavers.

Steve Jobs occasionally turns up and makes everyone go all gooey with the prospect of a new product, which in this case is likely to be the iPhone G4, but Gizmodo has already widdled on that particular box of fireworks.
