Google has snaffled up Bump Technologies, an small outfit that makes a 3D desktop called BumpTop.
A post on Bump's pages posted yesterday exclaims: "We have a big announcement to make: we're excited to announce that we've been acquired by Google!"
What does it mean? "This means that BumpTop (for both Windows and Mac) will no longer be available for sale. Additionally, no updates to the products are planned," the post continues. Suggesting Bump's owners are down the boozer quaffing the champers wondering whatthe future may hold.
Google confirmed the deal but would not disclose how much it paid for the firm.
BumpTop software sits on top of either Windows or the Mac Mac OS X and allows the user to stack files in piles on the desktop or scatter them willy-nilly.
