The PC games industry will tell you that it loses anything up to 90 per cent of its potential income through piracy. But what is the real cost?
David from Wolfire Blog has put together a reasonable argument using sensible numbers and a minimum of rhetoric and comes to the conclusion that the games industry is talking through its hat.
He reckons that the actual figure is more like ten per cent, and in all likelihood considerably less.
