Both 3 UK and T-Mobile have announced that they will be bringing the newly announced HTC Wildfire Android-based smartphone to their existing and prospective customers.
While 3 UK did not actually say when the phone would be available, T-Mobile was more forthcoming and said on Twitter that it would be taking pre-orders from the 14th of June.
The phone is already on the coming soon section of T-Mobile's website and June appears in direct contradiction with HTC's claims that the device would only be available towards the third quarter of the year.
3 UK's Sylvia Chind, Head of Branded Devices, said in a statement that the company would be announcing dates and pricing shortly before adding that "staying in touch on the move a strong 3G network like ours is necessary".
The phone is essentially a smaller version of the uber-popular HTC Desire; it comes with Android 2.1 Eclair and HTC Sense plus packs a 3.2-inch capacitive touch screen, a five megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS and a microSD card slot.
Virgin media announced yesterday that it would sell the HTC smartphone; we do however believe that the Desire still is the best HTC smartphone deal on the market especially if you don't mind calling your network operator.
