News@5: Google's Illegal Data, Twitter for iPhone and Malware

German prosecutors have launched a criminal investigation against Google over the 'mistakenly' collected Wi-Fi data. Google have been ordered to hand over the hard drive by 26 May.

Twitter has released a revamped version of the popular Tweetie application for iPhones. This follows the release of the official Twitter application for Android phones last month.

Google has announced that it will release an application store for its Chrome web browser and Chrome OS. The store is expected to be up and running later in the year.

Hewlett-Packard has confirmed that it plans to use the Palm WebOS in printers, smartphones and tablet pcs, leading to speculation about the 'Hurricane'.

Security company Sophos is warning Facebook users not to visit a video link with the wall post "this is without doubt the sexiest video ever! :P :P :" currently circulating Facebook as it will lead to malware being installed on users' computers.
