Google has decided to offer its Pac-Man Google Doodle game permanently to users after such a positive response to the game.
The Pac-Man Google Doodle game was released to commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of the Pac-Man video game on Friday and was well received by users (office workers) who really liked the idea of playing the game on Google.
Because of the response, Google has decided to offer the game permanently for its users, available here (opens in new tab).
Marissa Mayer, Google's vice president of search products and user experience, said (opens in new tab): “We've been overwhelmed -- but not surprised :) -- by the success of our 30th anniversary PAC-MAN doodle. Due to popular demand, we're making the game permanently available.”
Unfortunately for employers, many believe that the availability of Google/Pac-Man could deal a serious blow to office productivity.
This was the first playable Doodle uploaded by Google and was only expected to run for two days before being replaced.
