Watch The UK Apple iPad Launch Live From Regent Street

So good morning everyone... You can follow our live tweet about the event on (opens in new tab)

That's the lucky guy who manage to get himself ahead of the queue. He was there since yesterday around mid-day and is part of a group of aficionados. His name is jake lee, 17 from Essex. He has been queuing for 20 hours, beating the next guys in the queue in line by 5 minutes. Jake says that he will buy the most expensive model, the £899 model that comes with 64GB storage and 3G. His two mates have come and queued with him to keep him company in what must have been a very long night.

Looks like someone getting married... Or is it just another marketing stunt?

ITProPortal also launched a contest inviting prospective and current iPad owners to get up to £500 worth of iPad accessories (including iPad Apps and Apple iTunes Credit) simply by submitting the list of accessories they'd like to have. Simples!!
