PlayStation3 console owners will be soon be able to take advantage of 3D games over the PlayStation Network, Sony has announced.
Mr. Pain, the human catapulting game, will be the first game on PlayStation Network to get the stereoscopic 3D treatment as soon as next week, reported technology blog Siliconera.
According to PlayStation Asia, Alien Toss and Ice Breaker will be the next games to jump on the 3D bandwagon.
The titles will be released after the launch of Pain via an update patch delivered over the PlayStation Network.
So far, the 3D games have only been scheduled for release in Japan.
The development is good news for owners of 3D-enabled TVs who have had very little 3D content available since their launch.
Sony's Computer Entertainment division (SCE) hasn't revealed any prices for the titles as yet, nor there is any information about the launch of 3D content in the US and UK.
