Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) has revealed that the company is working on PlayTV 2, the next version of the PlayTV platform for its PlayStation3 gaming console.
Mark Green, the Senior Producer of Sony Cambridge Studio, told gaming news site SPOnG (opens in new tab) that the company is working on the second version of PlayTV, alongside preparing updates for the current version.
In the interview, Green said Sony is coming up with content for LittleBigPlanet2 and the PlayStation Move-compatible game titled TV Superstars to upgrade its current PlayTV box.
Sony first announced the updates for its PlayTV network in April, and assured users they would be able to access more game-related content on the network than ever before.
The unveiling of the new service is expected to take place at Gamescon rather than rival industry bash E3. The first version of PlayTV was launched at the Games Convention in Leipzig, three years ago.
