IBM has been asked by UK charity Start to lead a nine-day long summit to discuss key environmental issues.
Start, the charity organisation initiated by the Prince of Wales in February 2010, plans to bring the public together with private businesses, academic experts and environmentalists, in order to find ways to protect the environment whilst ensuring economic growth.
The summit, "IBM Summit at Start" is scheduled to take place in September at Lancaster House, London.
The event aims to bring Britain's political, governmental and non-governmental organisations together on a common platform to work for 'greener' economic growth.
Making an announcement at Lancaster House, IBM CEO for UK and Ireland Stephen Leonard has said that each day is set to have a different theme, including urban future, power, transport and information.
IBM has yet to disclose any details about the attendees.
