Microsoft has released (opens in new tab) updates for its Windows Live Essentials Wave 4 platform.
The updates are aimed primarily at users of the company's Windows 7 operating system, but users of the previous version of Windows, Vista, are also catered for.
The software giant said that Windows Live Essentials Wave 4 for Windows 7 would offer advanced video and photo sharing options, enhanced tools for organising email accounts and better file synchronising options.
A Microsoft spokesperson said: “While you'll see updates across all Windows Live Essentials applications in this release, we prioritized our investment in five primary applications based on the feedback we've received from our customers.”
Previously the company had announced updates for its Windows Live Messenger and Hotmail e-mail service, both of which are available on the Live Essentials platform.
The Windows Live Essentials Wave 4 suite contains Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Writer, Windows Live Photo Gallery, Windows Live Movie Maker, and Windows Live Family Safety.
