Dell Streak Goes On Sale On O2 From £399

O2 has started to sell the Streak from this morning and the smartphone has become the first to be sold in the UK on a data only package.

The Telefonica-owned mobile phone network is also selling the Streak on a PAYG package from only £399. It advises customers to use its O2 Pay & Go Text & Web which costs a monthly £10 and gives you unlimited internet and texts every month.

You should be able to flog in a Giff Gaff SIM card in the Streak since it is an O2 subsidiary and runs on O2's network. Alternatively, a Tesco SIM should work fine as well for the same reason.

As expected, O2 also offers an in-contract upgrade option where you can keep your phone and get up to £150 cash back to pay towards future bills.

Customers will be able to sign up with the network provider on another 18 or 24 months contract and get the phone for free (more on that here).

We've also heard reports of O2 customers getting the Streak for £299. Interestingly, the network will also offer the handset to businesses on contracts starting from £25.53 per month for 24 months, excluding VAT.
