Samsung has released its Wave smartphone on Vodafone and Virgin Media.
Users can get the phone on a 'free on contract' basis from Vodafone and Virgin Media.
Vodafone customers will pay a minimum of £24 per month for 300 free minutes, unlimited texts and 500 MB of data usage while Virgin Media customer can also purchase the phone for the same price but with 600 free minutes.
The phone comes with a 5 mega pixel camera, 1 Ghz processor and a 3.3-inch HD AMOLED screen.
The Wave also comes equiped with Social Hub, a centralised social networking platform similar to Motorola's MOTOBLUR.
The launch of the phone was marred by reports of the phone shipping with a malware infected microSD card.
Users have been advised to format the memory card before plugging it in their PCs.
The Wave, which runs on Samsung's very own Bada mobile phone OS platform, is the company's answer to Apple's iPhone, Google's Android and Microsoft's Windows 7 Mobile OS.
