IT giant Cisco is developing an enterprise communication app for iPhone and iPad mobile devices running Apple's newly released iOS 4.
The newly developed Quad application is set to enhance the way enterprise users communicate with each other. The app is intended to enable mobile workers to stay connected to their co-workers through their iPhone and iPad.
Cisco Quad allows workers to receive specific job information automatically, reducing the time employees waste in trying to find the right person, document or data for a particular job.
Tony Bates, Cisco's senior vice president and general manager for enterprise, commercial and small business stated: “Cisco's vision for a new work space is about empowering organizations with a broader range of collaborative experiences”.
Cisco intends to provide a first look of the Cisco Quad, along with its innovative new video and web conferencing technology, at the Enterprise 2.0 show due to start next week in Boston.
