The Sony Ericsson X10 smartphone has been out for nearly three months now and while a number of contenders have appeared on the market lately, it still ranks amongst one of the best Android-based smartphones thanks in part to the combination of large touchscreen, exceptional camera and a 1GHz SoC.

As a reminder, the phone comes with a 4-inch 480x854 pixels TFT capacitive touchscreen that can display 16 million colours (but is currently limited to Android OS v1.6). It has a 8.1-megapixel camera with AF, one of the highest on the market.

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz SoC, it has 384MB RAM and 1GB NAND onboard storage. Connectivity-wise, the Xperia X10 sports a microUSB port, Wi-Fi, aGPS, all weighing only 135g.
