Search giant Google has added a new feature to the UK version of Google Maps, allowing users to search for property to rent or buy.
The service, which is already available in Australia, will allow users to view and upload links to properties for sale on Google Maps, making it easier for them to look for commercial and personal properties in Britain.
The company said that individuals will able to upload their properties onto Google Maps and interact with estate agents.
Users will have to create a web page for their property so that Google can send visitors to it for further information.
The new Google Maps feature draws data from real estate websites such as Zoopla and Zoomf.com, as well as prominent estate agent companies including Bairstow Eves' owner, Countrywide.
The Telegraph demonstrated that if users searched for 'houses in Manchester', related results would appear, along with a new 'properties' tab under the 'more' option.
