Apple has released iTunes 9.2 for the iPad, iPhone and iPod.
The media management software has been released in advance of the launch of Apple's iOS 4 operating system, in order to ensure better compatibility between the software and the new OS.
CNET reports that the new version of iTunes will fix a problem encountered by users in displaying album artwork.
iTunes 9.2 will also be able to sync PDF documents as books, and helps organise iOS 4 applications into folders.
Users are advised to install the software before updating their iPhones with the latest OS.
The updated iTunes is available for OS X 10.4.11 or higher and in 32- and 64-bit versions for Windows.
Apple earlier reported that iTunes 9.2 would feature syncing with the new iPhone 4, syncing PDF formatted ebooks with iPhone and iPod Touch devices running iOS 4 and iBooks 1.1, tools to organise iOS 4 applications into folders, and faster back-up options.
