Cupidtino, the recently launched online dating website for Apple lovers, has 16,000 users.
Launched a month ago, the site is the brainchild of former Microsoft employee Mel Sampat, who came up with the idea when arguing with his girlfriend over whether he should use his iPad during a meal.
Named after Apple's home of Cupertino, Cupidtino aims to bring together like-minded Apple lovers, or "Machearts".
Sampat said: "The more I thought about it, the more I realised people that are true Apple fans might actually have a lot more in common than they realise”.
Predictably, the site can only be accessed using an Apple product. Currently users can only sign up to the site from a Macintosh computer or iPad, as it isn't yet possible to upload pictures from an iPhone or iPod Touch - though once they've registered, they can access the site using those devices.
During beta testing, the site was available for free, but from Wednesday it will begin charging users $5 a month to read the messages they have been sent.
